Suriname 2-Day Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Exploring Paramaribo

Morning:

  1. Arrival and City Center: Arrive at Johan Adolf Pengel International Airport (PBM). Transfer to your accommodation in the city center. Familiarize yourself with the area, and grab breakfast at a local café like “Bistro Keti Koti” or “Brother’s Fish House.”

  2. St. Peter and Paul Basilica: Visit this stunning neo-Gothic Roman Catholic church, one of the city’s most iconic landmarks.

  3. Palace of Justice: Admire the beautiful architecture of Suriname’s highest court and former parliament building.

Afternoon:

Day 2: Adventure Outside Paramaribo

Afternoon:

  1. Tamanredjo Wildlife Sanctuary: Continue your adventure at this sanctuary, home to several endangered species such as red-faced spider monkeys and golden-mantled tamarins.

  2. Return to Paramaribo: Depart for Paramaribo in the late afternoon. Spend your evening at leisure, perhaps visiting a local museum or shopping for souvenirs.
