Day 2: Mogadishu - Jazira Island

Day 3: Jazira Island - Mogadishu - Baidoa

Day 6: Kismayo - Mogadishu

  • Visit the Martyrs’ Mausoleum: A memorial dedicated to those who died for the cause of peace and unity in Somalia.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Central Market (Dalaacanood)

Day 7: Departure

Things to Know

  • Visa: A visa is required for most nationalities. Apply well in advance through the Somali Embassy in your country.
  • Currency: The official currency is the Somali Shilling (SOS).
  • Language: Somali is the official language, but English is widely spoken.
  • Health: Vaccinations are recommended for typhoid, hepatitis A and B, rabies, and yellow fever. Malaria prophylaxis is also advisable.
  • Transportation: Taxis and local buses are common, but car rental is also available.
  • Safety: Exercise caution, especially in crowded areas or at night. Always follow the advice of your tour guide or hotel staff.
  • Electricity: The electrical current is 220V/50Hz with a Type C and D socket. Bring an adapter if necessary.
