Singapore 2 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring the Heart of Singapore
1. Gardens by the Bay (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Start your day at Gardens by the Bay, a stunning urban garden with massive glass domes housing thousands of exotic plants. Don’t forget to check out the Supertrees during your visit!
- Things to know: The gardens are free to enter, but there’s a fee for the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Remember to dress appropriately as it can get hot indoors.
2. Marina Bay Sands Skypark (1:00 PM - 3:00 PM)
- Head over to the iconic Marina Bay Sands hotel for a bird’s eye view of the city from the Skypark.
- Things to know: Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket counter. Wear comfortable shoes as there are many stairs involved.
3. Marina Bay (3:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
- Stroll around Marina Bay, take a boat ride to Marina Barrage for a panoramic view of the city, or visit the ArtScience Museum if you’re interested.
4. Orchard Road (6:00 PM - 8:00 PM)
- Spend your evening shopping at Orchard Road, Singapore’s premier shopping belt with numerous brands and local boutiques.
- Things to know: Prices can be high, but there are plenty of street food stalls for a quick snack.
Day 2: Cultural and Natural Exploration
1. Chinatown & Little India (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
- Visit Chinatown to explore its rich history, vibrant streets, and food markets. Next, head over to Little India for a taste of Indian culture in Singapore.
- Things to know: Both areas are teeming with street food, souvenir shops, and temples. Don’t forget to haggle when shopping!
2. Sentosa Island (1:00 PM - 5:00 PM)
- Spend the afternoon at Sentosa Island, home to Universal Studios Singapore, S.E.A. Aquarium, and more.
- Things to know: Admission fees apply for attractions. You can get to Sentosa via a cable car, bus, or monorail from VivoCity Mall on HarbourFront.
3. Merlion Park (6:00 PM)
- End your day at the iconic Merlion Park, where you can take photos with the famous Merlion statue and enjoy the sunset over Marina Bay.
Visa Requirements:
- Most countries require a visa to enter Singapore. Check if your country is on the list of visa-exempt countries. If not, apply for a tourist visa well in advance.
Transportation:
- The Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system is efficient and affordable, making it the best way to get around Singapore. Single journey tickets can be purchased from stations or top up an EZ-Link card for convenience. Taxis are also readily available.
