Transportation: Taxis and motorbikes (okada) are common modes of transportation within cities. For longer trips, consider hiring a car with a driver or taking a shared taxi (lorry). Be prepared for a bit of adventure as roads can be rough in some areas.
Other Tips: Be mindful of local customs and dress conservatively; respect the modesty norms when visiting villages. Bring mosquito repellent to protect against malaria-carrying mosquitos. Always stay hydrated and drink only bottled water. Embrace the warmth and hospitality of Sierra Leoneans, and have a memorable trip!
