Serbia 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Belgrade (Capital City) - Explore the Urban Jungle

Morning: Start your day with a visit to Knez Mihailova, Belgrade’s main pedestrian zone filled with shops, cafes, and street performers. Don’t miss the Trg Slavija, a beautiful city square surrounded by impressive buildings.

Afternoon: Visit St. Sava Temple – one of the largest Orthodox churches in the world, and then head to Topčider Park for a relaxing walk.

Evening: Explore the Skadarlija Quarter, known as “the soul of Belgrade”, filled with traditional Serbian restaurants called Kafanas. Try some Ćevapi or Rakija!
Things to Know: Belgrade is famous for its nightlife, with many clubs along the Sava and Danube rivers. The city uses both the Serbian Dinar (RSD) and Euros in most places.
Day 2: Novi Sad - The European Youth Capital

Travel to Novi Sad by train or bus. It takes about 1.5 hours from Belgrade.

Morning: Visit Petrovaradin Fortress, an 18th-century fortress overlooking the Danube River. Explore the city center and enjoy a coffee at one of the many cafes.

Afternoon: Check out the Name of Mary Church and Napredak Museum. In the evening, stroll along the river promenade and enjoy the vibrant street art scene.
Day 3: Sremski Karlovci - Wine Tasting Paradise

Travel to Sremski Karlovci (30 min from Novi Sad).

Morning: Visit the Hortus Botanicus, a beautiful botanical garden. Take a leisurely walk around the town and visit the Baroque Fountain.

Day 4: Šimanovićke Pećine - Natural Beauty

Travel to Šimanovićke Pećine (1h 30min from Sremski Karlovci).

Morning: Explore the stunning limestone caves at Šimanovićke Pećine. Take a guided tour for the best experience.

Day 5: Return to Belgrade - Shopping and Final Exploration
- Spend your last day shopping for souvenirs or revisiting favorite spots from Day 1 in Belgrade. If you haven’t already, check out the Nikola Tesla Museum or the Museum of Aviation.

Transportation: Trains and buses are the most common modes of transport in Serbia. Belgrade has an extensive tram and bus network, while Novi Sad and smaller towns are best explored on foot. Renting a car can also be a convenient option.
