Serbia 3-Day Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Exploring Belgrade

Morning:

  • Visit Belgrade Fortress (Kalemegdan) and explore its rich history, beautiful park area, and stunning views of the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Day 2: Novi Sad

  • Explore the charming downtown area with its colorful houses, churches, and the bustling Trg Slavija.

Afternoon:

  • Discover the Serbian Orthodox Church of Saint György (Sveti Đorđe) located in the heart of Novi Sad.
  • Visit the Museum of Vojvodina to learn about the region’s history and culture.
  • Stroll around the peaceful Name of Mary Square (Trg Ime Marije) and enjoy a coffee at one of the nearby cafes.

Evening:

  • Attend a concert at the EXIT Festival Grounds, if your visit coincides with the festival season (July). Otherwise, explore the vibrant nightlife in Novi Sad. Some popular spots include Fabrika, Komuna and Zona.

Day 3: Oplenac and Topola

Morning:

  • Take a car or organized tour from Novi Sad to Oplenac (approximately 1 hour).
  • Visit the Saint George’s Church on Oplenac hill, decorated with more than 4.5 million pieces of mosaic and a final resting place for the Serbian Royal family.
  • Explore the nearby Mausoleum of the Serbian Royal Family and the beautiful Kings Petar I and Aleksandar I Memorial Home.

Afternoon:

  • Head to Topola (15 minutes from Oplenac) and visit the Winery Kordun, where you can taste some of Serbia’s best wine.

  • Visit the nearby Carica Nina Winery for more wine tasting and a stunning view of the surrounding countryside.

Evening:

  • Return to Novi Sad or Belgrade, depending on your travel plans. If you’re staying in Novi Sad, enjoy another evening exploring its vibrant nightlife.

Transportation:
