Two-Day Itinerary for Exploring Saint Lucia
Day 1: North Coast Adventure
Morning: Pigeon Island National Park
- Location: Gros Islet, North of Rodney Bay
- Activities: Explore historic sites, enjoy panoramic views, visit the Aimé Césaire House, and relax on beautiful beaches.
Things to Know:
- Opening hours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Monday – Friday); 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Saturday & Sunday)
- Admission fee applies
- Bring water, sunscreen, and a hat
Afternoon: Gros Islet Beach and Fish Fry
- Location: Gros Islet, North of Rodney Bay
- Activities: Relax on the beach, sample local seafood, and enjoy live music at the Friday night fish fry (if it’s a Friday)
Things to Know:
- Fish Fry is every Friday evening from 7:00 PM – midnight
- Bring local currency (Eastern Caribbean Dollars - XCD) for purchases
Evening: Rodney Bay Village
- Location: Rodney Bay, Gros Islet
- Activities: Dine at a variety of restaurants, shop for souvenirs, and enjoy the vibrant nightlife
Day 2: South Coast Exploration
Morning: Sulphur Springs Park & Drive-In Volcano
- Location: Soufrière, Southwest of Castries
- Activities: Tour the volcanic crater, experience mud baths, and see the world’s only drive-in volcano
Things to Know:
- Opening hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM daily
- Admission fee applies
- Wear comfortable clothing and footwear suitable for walking on uneven terrain
Afternoon: Diamond Falls & Botanical Gardens
- Location: Soufrière, Southwest of Castries
- Activities: Enjoy tropical gardens, visit the Diamond Waterfall, and explore the mineral baths
Things to Know:
- Opening hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM daily
- Admission fee applies
- Wear swimwear for the mineral baths if you wish to participate
Evening: Marigot Bay and Sunset Cruise (Optional)
- Location: Marigot Bay, Southwest of Soufrière
- Activities: Relax in one of the most picturesque bays in the world, dine at a waterfront restaurant, or go on a sunset cruise
Things to Know:
- Sunset Cruises are typically available from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM daily (check with tour operators for specific times and pricing)
Visa Requirements

Transportation
- Renting a car is a popular way to explore the island and offers flexibility; however, driving can be challenging due to narrow roads and heavy traffic in some areas

- Public buses (minibuses) are an affordable option for getting around but routes may not always follow a schedule and can be crowded
