Romania 6-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Bucharest (Arrival and Exploration)
- Activities: Visit the Palace of Parliament, explore the Old Town with its colorful buildings, and stroll along Calea Victoriei, a historic boulevard. Don’t miss the Revolution Square, the site where the 1989 Romanian Revolution began.
- Things to Know: Bucharest is the capital city of Romania and the largest urban area in the country. English is widely spoken.
- Visa Requirements: Citizens from the European Union, United States, Canada, Australia, and Japan do not need a visa for stays under 90 days. Check your specific nationality’s requirements before traveling.

Day 2: Transylvania (Sighisoara & Bran Castle)

Day 3: Brasov & Rasnov

Day 4: Sibiu

- Things to Know: Sibiu is one of Romania’s most charming cities and was European Cultural Capital in 2007.
Day 5: Sarmizegetusa Regia & Orastie
- Activities: Visit the ancient Dacian ruins at Sarmizegetusa Regia, the capital of King Decebalus’s Kingdom. Explore Orastie, a picturesque town nestled in the Apuseni Mountains.
- Things to Know: The Apuseni Mountains are home to many unique natural phenomena such as the Bear Cave and the Corbul Sandstone Tower.
Day 6: Timisoara & Return
- Activities: Explore Timisoara, Romania’s cultural capital, with its beautiful baroque architecture, parks, and museums. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time for a leisurely stroll or some last-minute shopping.
- Transportation: From Timisoara, you can fly back to your home country. The city has an international airport with direct flights to many European destinations.
