Day 1: Arrival & Settling In

  • Spend the rest of the day getting familiar with the small community (approx. 50 inhabitants). The islanders are welcoming and happy to share their unique way of life.
  • Things to Know: Pitcairn is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world, located in the Pacific Ocean midway between Peru and New Zealand. English is spoken by most residents.

Day 2: Discover Bounty Bay & Adamstown

  • Visit Bounty Bay, the main harbor and the site where HMS Bounty arrived in 1790. Swim or snorkel in its crystal-clear waters.
  • Explore Adamstown, the island’s capital, with its charming houses, museums, and the famous Christian church built by Fletcher Christian himself.
  • In the afternoon, learn about the island’s history at the Pitcairn Museum, which showcases artifacts from the Mutiny on the Bounty, as well as everyday life on the island.

Day 3: Hiking & Beach Day

  • Take a guided hike to Gunn’s Deer Sanctuary, where you can spot Pitcairn’s only deer population. The trail offers stunning views of the island and its surrounding waters.
  • Spend the rest of the day at St. Paul’s, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. Relax, sunbathe, or swim in the clear blue water.

Day 4: Exploring Lower Muhlenberg Byring

  • Visit Lower Muhlenberg Byring (LMB), an archaeological site that dates back to the early Polynesian settlers of Pitcairn. Learn about the island’s pre-European history from a local guide.
  • After lunch, explore the nearby Fanning Bay and its unique birdlife, including the endemic Pitcairn Island Dove.

Day 5: Craft Workshop & Beach Day

  • Participate in a traditional craft workshop, where you can learn about Pitcairn’s unique handicrafts such as tapa cloth making or wood carving.
  • Spend the rest of the day at Harford’s Hap, another beautiful beach on the island. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and take a dip in the turquoise waters.

Day 6: Preparation for Departure
