Pitcairn Islands 2-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Exploration
Morning:
- Arrival at Pitcairn Island via yacht or chartered flight (contact the island’s administration for arrangements). The nearest international airport is Mangareva Island, French Polynesia.
- Check-in at your accommodation, either a homestay with locals or a guesthouse. You can also camp at Bounty Bay, with permission from the island council.
- Freshen up and have breakfast (most accommodations provide meals).
Afternoon:
- Visit St. Paul’s Church, built in 1890, the oldest building on Pitcairn.
- Take a walk around Adamstown, the world’s smallest capital city, with just under 50 inhabitants. Explore the post office, museum, and various shops selling locally made crafts and souvenirs.
- Visit Bounty Bay, where the HMS Bounty was moored in 1789. Enjoy the beautiful beach and crystal-clear waters.
Evening:
- Dinner at your accommodation or a local restaurant (if available). Engage with locals to learn about their unique culture and history.
Day 2: Adventure and Departure
Morning:
- Breakfast at your accommodation.
- Hike to the top of Gunn’s Deer Park for stunning views of the island and surrounding waters.
- Visit the Mutiny Hill, where Fletcher Christian and his followers hid after the mutiny on the Bounty.
Afternoon:
- Snorkeling or diving at one of Pitcairn’s beautiful reefs to explore the rich marine life.
- Relax at the beach or take a stroll around the island, enjoying its tranquil and serene atmosphere.
Evening:
- Farewell dinner with locals (if possible).
- Prepare for departure the next day.

- The official currency is New Zealand Dollars (NZD), but many residents accept U.S. dollars.
- Visitors must have a valid passport and travel insurance, as there are no medical facilities on the island.
