Phnom Penh 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Exploring the City
- Arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport. You can take a taxi or tuk-tuk to your hotel (recommended hotels: Raffles Le Royal, Park Hyatt, or The Quay Hotel).
- National Museum of Cambodia: Open from 8 am to 5 pm. Home to one of the world’s most comprehensive collections of Khmer art. Admission fee: $3.
- Wat Phnom - A hilltop temple dating back to 1437, a peaceful escape in the city center.
- Riverside Walk: Enjoy the sunset view over the Mekong River and Tonle Sap River.
- Dinner at FCC Angkor: Located on the riverside, offering a mix of Cambodian and international dishes.
Day 2: History & Culture
- Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (Open from 8 am to 5 pm, closed on weekends). Witness the dark history of the Khmer Rouge regime. Admission fee: $3.
- Killing Fields of Choeung Ek: Located about 17km southwest of Phnom Penh. A somber but important site to understand the Cambodian history. Admission fee: $3.
- Lunch at Psar Tuol Tom Pong (The Russian Market): Try local street food or buy souvenirs.

Day 3: Discovering Local Life

- Visit Wat Ounalom: The highest ranking Buddhist temple in Cambodia, located near the Central Market.

Day 4: Day Trip to Koh Dach (Silk Island)
