Perth 7-Day Itinerary (Markdown Format)
Day 1: Arrival & City Exploration
- Morning: Check-in at your accommodation. We recommend staying in the CBD area for convenience.
- Afternoon: Visit Perth Mint, learn about Western Australia’s gold rush history and see the world’s largest gold nugget, the ‘Hand of Faith’.
- Evening: Stroll along the Swan Bell Tower and enjoy panoramic views of Perth from its observation deck.
- Dinner: Dine at Braza Bar & Dining, a Brazilian-inspired restaurant offering a variety of BBQ dishes.
- Things to Know: Perth operates on Western Standard Time (WST). The city center is safe, but it’s always wise to keep an eye on your belongings.
Day 2: Kings Park & Botanic Garden
- Morning: Spend the morning exploring Kings Park and the Botanic Garden. Enjoy the views from the DNA Tower and visit the war memorials.
- Afternoon: Visit Perth Zoo, home to over 1,300 animals representing over 160 species.
- Dinner: Dine at The Standard Brewing Co., a microbrewery offering delicious pub food and craft beers.
- Evening: Relax by the river at Elizabeth Quay or enjoy a drink at one of the nearby bars.
Day 3: Rottnest Island
- Morning: Take a ferry to Rottnest Island. Spend your day cycling around the island, snorkeling, and interacting with the friendly quokkas.
- Lunch: Enjoy lunch at one of the cafes on Rottnest Island.
- Dinner: Have dinner aboard the ferry back to Perth or arrange for a meal at your accommodation before departure.
Day 4: Fremantle & Fishing Boat Harbour
- Morning: Visit Fremantle, the port city west of Perth. Explore its historic buildings, such as the Round House and Fremantle Prison.
- Afternoon: Stroll around Fishing Boat Harbour and enjoy fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants there. Don’t miss the fish and chips!
- Evening: Return to Perth and relax at Northbridge Piazza, a vibrant hub with various dining options and street performers.
Day 5: Penguin Island & Mandurah
- Morning: Take a boat trip to Penguin Island in Mandurah. Witness the little penguins up close, feed the sea lions, and enjoy the beautiful beaches.
- Afternoon: Explore Mandurah city and its canals. Visit the Mandurah Cruise & Sightseeing Co. for a canal cruise.
- Dinner: Dine at one of Mandurah’s seafood restaurants, such as The Boat Shed.
- Evening: Return to Perth and rest.
Day 6: PIAF (Perth International Arts Festival) & South Perth
- Morning/Afternoon: If visiting during the Perth International Arts Festival (usually Feb or Mar), attend a show or exhibition of your choice. Check the festival schedule for details.
- Evening: Cross the Swan River to South Perth and enjoy the stunning city views from Sir James Mitchell Park. Have dinner at a restaurant in South Perth.
Day 7: Farewell Perth
- Morning/Afternoon: Spend your last hours in Perth shopping for souvenirs, relaxing at the beach, or visiting any places you missed during your stay.
- Departure: Depending on your flight schedule, head to the airport and say goodbye to beautiful Perth!
Transportation: The best way to get around Perth is by car, but buses, trains, and ferries are also available. Consider purchasing a SmartRider card for public transportation.
Tips: Use the free CAT (Central Area Transport) buses to explore Perth city. Don’t forget to try the famous WA pink lamb at least once during your stay!
