Day 1: Asunción (Arrival & City Exploration)
- Arrive at Silvio Pettirossi International Airport (ASU) and transfer to the city center.
- Visit the Independence Square, National Pantheon of Heroes, and the Metropolitan Cathedral.
- Explore the historic neighborhoods of San Roque and La Recoleta.

- Overnight at a hotel in Asunción.
Things to Know:
- Paraguay uses the Guaraní as an official language along with Spanish. English is not widely spoken.
- The currency is the Guarani (PYG), and it’s best to exchange money upon arrival at the airport or use credit cards for larger purchases.
- Tap water in Asunción is safe to drink, but bottled water is widely available.

Day 3: Ciudad del Este & Itaipu Dam
- Travel to Ciudad del Este (approx. 1 hour drive from Asunción). Visit the Shopping Del Parque, one of South America’s largest duty-free shopping centers.
- Afternoon visit to the Itaipu Dam, the world’s second-largest hydroelectric power station by capacity. Guided tours are available in multiple languages.
- Overnight in Ciudad del Este or return to Asunción for the night.
Day 4: Encarnación (Wineries & Wanderings)
- Morning travel to Encarnación (approx. 3 hours drive from Ciudad del Este).
- Visit local wineries like Fuerte Olimpo and Bella Vista, tasting Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, and other Paraguayan wines.
- Explore the picturesque town center with its colorful colonial buildings.
- Overnight at a hotel in Encarnación.
Day 5: Salto Mondongo & San Pedro National Park
- Morning trip to Salto Mondongo, one of Paraguay’s most impressive waterfalls.
- Afternoon travel to the San Pedro National Park (approx. 1 hour drive from Encarnación). This park is home to various wildlife species and features beautiful landscapes.
