7-Day Itinerary for Traveling in Panama (Markdown Format)
Day 1: Arrival & Panama City Exploration

- Check into your hotel and rest. (Recommended: Casco Viejo area for its colonial charm)
- Visit Miraflores Locks at the Panama Canal (Afternoon)
- Explore the bustling streets of Casco Viejo in the evening, try local cuisine such as Sancocho or Ceviche
- Don’t forget to explore the vibrant nightlife in the city
Day 2: Panama City & Modern Architecture
- Visit the Biomuseo (Morning) - An architectural wonder designed by Frank Gehry showcasing Panamanian biodiversity
- Explore the financial district and the new Biodiversity Museum on Amador Causeway
- Take a boat tour to observe the Panama Canal ships up close
Day 3: Azuero Peninsula & Playa Santa Catalina
- Travel to the Azuero Peninsula (Full Day) - Rent a car or take a bus from Panama City
- Visit traditional villages and enjoy local crafts
- Reach Playa Santa Catalina in the late afternoon, check into your accommodation and relax on the beautiful beach
Day 4: Isla Coiba & Snorkeling

Things to Know
- Visa: Most nationalities do not require a visa for stays up to 180 days. Always check with the Panamanian embassy in your country before traveling.
- Currency: The official currency is the Balboa, but the US Dollar is also widely accepted.
- Safety: Be aware of your surroundings, especially at night. Avoid carrying large amounts of cash and valuable items.
