Panama 4-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Panama City & Casco Viejo
- Morning: Arrive at Tocumen International Airport (PTY). Obtain a Tourist Visa upon arrival for most nationalities. (Check with your local embassy to confirm.)
- Afternoon: Check into your hotel and head out to explore the vibrant neighborhood of Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site filled with colorful colonial buildings, lively plazas, and great street food.
- Evening: Visit the iconic Panama Canal, learn about its history at the Miraflores Visitor Center, and watch the ships pass through the locks. Have dinner in one of the local restaurants offering stunning views of the canal.
Day 2: Panama City & Soberania National Park
- Morning: Visit the modern part of Panama City, stop by the Financial District to see the impressive BioMuseo and enjoy panoramic city views from Ancon Hill.
- Afternoon: Take a short drive to Soberania National Park and embark on a boat tour through the mangroves in Gatun Lake, spotting wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, and various bird species along the way.
- Evening: Return to Panama City and enjoy a night out at one of the city’s lively bars or restaurants.
Day 3: Boquete & Coffee Plantation Tour
- Morning: Take an early flight or drive to Boquete, a charming mountain town in the Chiriquí province known for its beautiful scenery and coffee plantations.
- Afternoon: Visit a local coffee farm for a tour and tasting, learn about the coffee production process, and enjoy some of Panama’s famous Geisha coffee.
- Evening: Enjoy a peaceful evening in Boquete, exploring local shops or taking a dip in one of the nearby hot springs.
Day 4: Volcan Barú National Park & Departure
- Morning: Head to Volcán Barú National Park and prepare for an early hike to the summit, where you can witness the sunrise over two continents on a clear day.
- Afternoon: After your descent, enjoy lunch in Boquete before heading back to Panama City for your departure flight. Alternatively, extend your stay and explore more of the beautiful Chiriquí province.
