Palau 4-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Rock Islands
- Morning: Arrive at Roman Tmetuchl International Airport (ROR) and complete immigration formalities. (Visa is not required for most nationalities, but check the Palau Visa Policy for your specific country.)
- Afternoon: Take a boat tour to the famous Rock Islands, a UNESCO World Heritage site with breathtaking limestone formations and pristine lagoons. Don’t miss the Jellyfish Lake!
- Evening: Dinner at one of the local restaurants in Koror, such as K-19 Bar & Grill or Sakaman Restaurant.
Day 2: WWII Sites & Museums
- Morning: Visit the Palau National Museum to learn about Palau’s rich history and culture. Afterward, head to the Micronesia Mall for shopping and lunch.
- Afternoon: Explore WWII sites, such as the Rock Islands Peace Memorial State Park and the Japanese Tunnel Tour. You can find guided tours at most hotels or tour operators in Koror.
- Evening: Relax at one of Palau’s beautiful beaches, like Angaur Beach or Turtle Beach.
Day 3: Scuba Diving & Snorkeling
- Morning: Enjoy a day of scuba diving or snorkeling at some of Palau’s famous sites, like Blue Corner and Palau’s Rock Islands.
- Afternoon: Continue exploring Palau’s underwater world, or if you prefer land activities, hike the Ngaraard Trail on Babeldaob Island.
- Evening: Have dinner at a local restaurant in Airai Village, such as Helen’s Seafood Grill & Restaurant.
Day 4: Explore Peleliu & Departure
- Morning: Take a ferry to Peleliu Island and visit the Peleliu Peace Memorial Park. Learn about the Battle of Peleliu, one of the bloodiest battles in the Pacific during WWII.
- Afternoon: Return to Koror for some last-minute shopping or sightseeing. Check out the Belau National Museum and the Palau International Coral Reef Center.
- Evening: Have a farewell dinner at one of Koror’s popular restaurants, such as One19 Restaurant & Bar or The Cove Pizza Company.
- Night: Depart from Roman Tmetuchl International Airport (ROR).
Transportation
- Taxis and rental cars are available in Palau for transportation within Koror, but the best way to explore the Rock Islands is by boat tour. For other island visits, you can use ferries or charter boats.
Money & ATMs
- The official currency of Palau is the United States Dollar ($). Most businesses accept credit cards, but it’s always good to have cash on hand for smaller establishments and tipping. ATMs are available in Koror.

- English is widely spoken in Palau due to its relationship with the United States. The national language is Palauan.
