Nepal 4-Day Itinerary: Exploring the Himalayan Jewel

Day 1: Kathmandu Valley - Cultural Immersion
- Transportation: Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM). Taxis are readily available outside the airport.
- Activities: Visit Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambunath (Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa. Explore Thamel for shopping and dining.
- Things to Know: Kathmandu is at an altitude of around 1,400 meters, so you may feel the effects of altitude if you’re not used to it. Drink plenty of water.
- Visa Requirements: Most nationalities need a visa for Nepal. You can obtain a Visitor Visa on arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport.
Day 2: Bhaktapur and Patan (Lalitpur)
- Transportation: Hire a taxi or join a group tour to visit Bhaktapur and Patan.
- Activities: Explore the ancient cities of Bhaktapur and Patan, known for their traditional Newari architecture, intricate woodcarvings, and pottery. Don’t miss Nyatapola Temple in Bhaktapur and Krishna Mandir in Patan.
Day 3: Nagarkot - Sunrise over the Himalayas
- Transportation: Hire a taxi or join a group tour to Nagarkot (approximately 1 hour from Kathmandu).
- Activities: Spend the night in Nagarkot to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas. Visit Changunarayan Temple and explore the surrounding hills and villages.
Day 4: Dhulikhel - Panickali Temple
- Transportation: Return to Kathmandu and continue to Dhulikhel (approximately 1.5 hours from Nagarkot).
- Activities: Visit the beautiful Panickali Temple in Dhulikhel, enjoy stunning views of the Himalayas, and try local Newari cuisine. From Dhulikhel, you can also take a short trek to Namobuddha.
- Things to Know: Always respect local customs and traditions when visiting temples. Remove your shoes before entering and dress modestly.
