Nauru 3 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and Exploring the Capital

- Check-in at your hotel. (Currently, there is only one accommodation available for tourists: The Menen Hotel.)

- Visit the Bougainvillea Park, the central park of Nauru with beautiful bougainvillea trees and a monument commemorating the country’s independence.
- Explore Downtown Aiwo, the capital district, which includes the Government Buildings, Central Bank of Nauru, and the Roundabout.

Evening:
- Dine at local restaurants offering a variety of Pacific Island cuisine. Try dishes like Ikuja (taro leaves and fish), Kopuras (crab curry), or Masakas (yam dish).
- Relax at the beach, with Buada Lagoon being the most popular choice due to its clear waters and coral reefs.
Day 2: Historical and Scenic Sites

- Visit Anibare Bay, a historic site where the first European settlers arrived in Nauru. Enjoy the scenic views and take photos of the old ruins.
- Explore Anibare Village, one of the original villages of Nauru’s native population.

- Journey to Moqua Cave, a large limestone cave located on the island’s northwest coast. Take a guided tour and learn about its historical significance.
- Visit the Australian WWII Memorial, dedicated to the Australians who fought during the Battle of Nauru in 1942.

Day 3: Phosphate Mines and Departure

- Visit the old phosphate mines, which played a significant role in Nauru’s history and economy. Wear appropriate clothing and footwear as some areas can be slippery.
