Namibia 5-Day Travel Itinerary
Day 1: Windhoek (Arrival & City Exploration)

Arrive at Hosea Kutako International Airport. Check visa requirements: i) Most nationalities do not require a visa for stays up to 90 days, but it’s best to confirm before travel. ii) Ensure your passport is valid for six months beyond your planned departure date from Namibia.

Visit Windhoek’s city centre to explore the Christ Church, Independence Memorial Museum, and Tintenpalast (Ink Palace). Don’t miss the vibrant craft markets, like the Namibia Craft Centre.

Overnight in Windhoek at a hotel or guesthouse of your choice.
Day 2: Damaraland

Travel to Damaraland (approx. 3 hours drive from Windhoek). The journey offers opportunities to spot wildlife like kudu, springbok, and ostrich.

Visit the Twyfelfontein Petroglyphs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with over 2,000 rock engravings dating back thousands of years.

Explore Vingerklip (Finger Rock) - an impressive 35m high rock formation resembling a finger pointing to the sky.

Overnight in Damaraland at a lodge or camp.
Day 3: Himba Village & Kaokoland

Visit a traditional Himba village in Kaokoland to learn about their unique culture and traditions. Remember to be respectful and ask permission before taking photographs.

Spend the afternoon game viewing in Palmeira Mopane Nature Reserve or Kaokoveld, where you might spot desert-adapted elephants, rhinos, and other wildlife.

Overnight at a lodge or camp in Kaokoland.
Day 4: Etosha National Park

Drive to Etosha National Park (approx. 3 hours from Kaokoland). Enter the park and spend the day game viewing along the main roads, stopping at waterholes like Okaukuejo or Namutoni.

Watch for elephants, lions, rhinos, and various bird species. Overnight in a lodge or camp within Etosha National Park.
Day 5: Okonjima Nature Reserve & Return to Windhoek

After breakfast, travel to Okonjima Nature Reserve (approx. 3 hours from Etosha). This reserve is home to the AfriCat Foundation, a sanctuary for big cats.

Participate in the AfriCat Carnivore Care & Research program or opt for a guided game drive to see leopards, cheetahs, and other wildlife.

Return to Windhoek (approx. 2 hours) and prepare for your onward journey.
