Mykonos 5-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Exploring Mykonos Town (Chora)
- Check-in at your accommodation (recommendations: Cavo Tagoo, Bill & Coo Suites and Lounge, Santa Marina, or Belvedere Hotel).
- Start your day with breakfast at Bakaliko, a popular spot in the heart of Chora.
- Visit the iconic Windmills, Petros the Pelican, and Little Venice, all within walking distance of each other.
- Stroll around the cobblestone streets of Chora, exploring its whitewashed houses, churches, and shops.
- For lunch, head to Koukouvaya or Remezzo for traditional Greek cuisine with a modern twist.
- In the evening, enjoy the sunset at one of the bars in Little Venice (Scarpa or 180 Sunset Bar) before dining at M-Eating or Principote.
Day 2: Beaches & Boat Trips
- Have breakfast at your hotel or try Kastro’s for a hearty meal.
- Spend the morning at Paradise Beach, one of Mykonos’ most famous party beaches. Rent sunbeds, swim, and dance to the music at bars like Tropicana and Cavo Paradiso.
- For lunch, grab some gyros or souvlaki from MaMela or Avra by the Sea at Paradise Beach.
- In the afternoon, take a boat trip to Delos Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site, or explore more secluded beaches like Elia, Agrari, or Kalo Livadi.
- Return to your hotel and get ready for an evening in Mykonos Town. Dine at Funky Gourmet or Alemagou for a unique dining experience.
Day 3: Ancient Delos & Rineia Island
- After breakfast, take a ferry to Delos and explore the ancient ruins, including the Terrace of the Lions, the Temple of Isis, and the House of Dionysus.
- Have lunch at one of the tavernas on Delos (Tou Fani or Pasta Fresca).
- In the afternoon, visit Rineia Island, a small islet near Delos, for swimming and snorkeling.
- Return to Mykonos Town in the evening, and dine at M’Ora Asian Bistro or Zuma for some international flavors.
Day 4: Exploring Northern Beaches & Sunset at Caprice
- Have breakfast at your hotel or try To Maereio on Agios Stefanos Beach.
- Spend the morning at one of the northern beaches like Agios Stefanos, Panormos, or Agios Sostis for a more relaxed atmosphere.
- For lunch, visit Kalypso or Principote at Panormos Beach.
- In the afternoon, take a taxi to the scenic hilltop church of Ano Mera and visit the nearby monastery of Paleokastro.
- Return to Mykonos Town in the evening for sunset drinks and dinner at Caprice or Guzel.
Day 5: Relaxation & Departure
- Enjoy your final breakfast at a favorite spot from your stay.
- Spend the morning relaxing on the beach or exploring any areas you may have missed.
- Check out of your accommodation and store your luggage if possible.
- Have lunch at a leisurely pace before heading to the airport (try Kounelas Taverna, To Maereio, or Bakaliko).
- Catch your flight home with memories of beautiful Mykonos!
Things to Know:
- Mykonos can get very crowded during peak season (June-August), so book accommodations and activities in advance.
- Taxis and buses are available for transportation, but renting a scooter or ATV is a popular way to get around.
- Cash (Euros) is still the primary means of payment, although many restaurants and shops accept credit cards.
- Dress codes are enforced at some clubs and bars, so pack accordingly.
- Mykonos is famous for its nightlife, but don’t forget to explore the island during the day as well!
