Morocco 2 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Exploring Marrakech

  • Morning:

    1. Arrival at Mohammed V International Airport, Casablanca. (Flights from major cities worldwide are available.)
    2. Transfer to Marrakech (Approx. 3 hours by train or 40 minutes by flight). You can book your train tickets in advance on the ONCF website or through travel agencies.
    3. Check-in at Riad (Traditional Moroccan guesthouse) in the Medina. Riads are a great way to immerse yourself in Moroccan culture while enjoying comfortable accommodations.

  • Afternoon:

    1. Explore Jemaa el-Fnaa Square: This iconic square transforms throughout the day, but in the afternoon you’ll find street performers, food vendors, and souks (markets).
    2. Bahia Palace and Saadian Tombs: These two attractions are close to each other and offer stunning architectural beauty. Remember to dress modestly.

  • Evening:

    1. Dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant: Try dishes like Tagine, Harira, and Mint Tea.
    2. Return to Riad for rest.

Things to Know:

  • Haggling is common in the souks. Be prepared to negotiate prices, but keep in mind that a fair price is better than a good deal.

Day 2: Day Trip from Marrakech - Ouarzazate & Aït Benhaddou

  • Morning:

    1. Visit Aït Benhaddou: This historic kasbah is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been used as a filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

  • Evening:

    1. Return to Marrakech (Approx. 4 hours drive).
