Day 1: Arrival & Orientation

Day 5: Visit Salem & Enjoy Local Culture

- Drive to Salem, the former capital of Montserrat. Explore the old town and see the St. Peter’s Church ruins
- Lunch at a local restaurant in Salem or nearby
- Attend a Kawal rhythm performance in the evening (check with local tourism office for schedules)
- Dinner at a local restaurant
Day 6: Relax & Explore Brimstone Hill
- Breakfast at your accommodation
- Spend the day relaxing on one of Montserrat’s beautiful beaches, such as Tropical Paradise Beach or Joni’s Hideaway
- Afternoon: Visit Brimstone Hill Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and historical landmark
- Dinner at a local restaurant
Day 7: Departure
- Breakfast at your accommodation
- Spend the morning exploring any sights you may have missed or relaxing on the beach
- Check out from your accommodation and head to John A. Osborne Airport (MDA) for your departure
Important Information:
- Visa: British Citizens do not require a visa to enter Montserrat. Other nationalities should check with the Montserrat government or their local embassy.
- Transportation: Renting a car is the most convenient way to get around Montserrat, although taxis are available. Some accommodations may also offer transportation services.
- Currency: The official currency of Montserrat is the Eastern Caribbean Dollar (EC$), but US dollars are widely accepted. Credit cards are less common, so it’s best to have cash on hand.
