Montenegro 2 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring the Bay of Kotor and Perast
Morning:
- Start your day with a hearty breakfast at your accommodation.
- Depart for Kotor (approximately a 20-minute drive from Budva).
- Explore the charming town of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon and wander through the narrow, winding streets of the Old Town.
- Take a stroll around the city walls for stunning views over the Bay of Kotor. (Entrance fee: €4)
Afternoon:
- Embark on a boat trip to Our Lady of the Rocks, a manmade island with an attractive church and museum. The boat ride offers breathtaking views of the bay. (Cost: around €10 per person)
- Continue to the picturesque village of Perast and enjoy lunch at one of the local konobas, serving traditional Montenegrin dishes.
- Visit St. George’s Church and the Museum of Icons in Perast.
Evening:
- Drive back to Budva for dinner. Explore the lively Budva Riviera with its numerous bars and restaurants.

- If you prefer adventure, try hiking or mountain biking in the area. You can also visit the nearby Tara Bridge and enjoy panoramic views of the deepest canyon in Europe, the Tara River Canyon.
Evening:
- Return to Žabljak for dinner and relaxation. There are several cozy restaurants offering local cuisine.
