Milan 6-Day Travel Itinerary (Using Markdown Format)

Day 1: Arrival & Exploring the City Center

  1. Arrival - Depending on your mode of transport, you’ll arrive at either Malpensa Airport (MXP), Linate Airport (LIN), or Milano Centrale Station.
  2. Check-in - Recommended hotels: Bulgari Hotel Milan, Armani Hotel Milano, or the budget-friendly Generator Milan.
  3. Duomo di Milano - Start your exploration with the iconic Milan Cathedral (Duomo). You can also visit the rooftop for a panoramic view of the city.
  4. Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II - Just adjacent to the Duomo, this historic shopping arcade is a must-visit. Don’t forget to do the traditional heel-to-toe walk on its mosaic floor!
  5. Dinner - Dine at Osteria del Cuculo, offering traditional Lombardy dishes.

Day 2: Museums & Parks

  1. Sforza Castle - Visit this historic fortress housing several museums, including the Museo d’Arte Antica (Museum of Ancient Art) and the Pinacoteca di Brera (Brera Art Gallery).
  2. Parco Sempione - Enjoy a leisurely walk in this beautiful park which houses the Castle.
  3. La Scala Theatre - If you can, catch an opera performance at Teatro alla Scala. Even if you can’t, a tour of the theatre is worthwhile.
  4. Dinner - Try Ristorante Cracco for innovative Italian cuisine.

Day 3: Leonardo da Vinci & Navigli District

  1. Last Supper (Cenacolo Vinciano) - Visit the famous mural by Leonardo da Vinci at the Santa Maria delle Grazie church. Remember to book tickets in advance.
  2. Sforza Castle Museums - Continue exploring the museums inside the Sforza Castle, including the Museo del Novecento and the Achille Castiglioni Design Collection.

Day 6: Departure
