Mayotte Travel Itinerary (6 Days)

Day 1: Arrival & Exploring Dzaoudzi-Tsingoni

  • Arrival: Mayotte’s main airport is Pamandzi International Airport. Check visa requirements before your trip.

  • Accommodation: Stay in Dzaoudji or Tsingoni, where you’ll find a range of accommodations from budget to luxury.

  • Activities: Visit the picturesque village of Tsingoni with its stunning views, explore the local market in Dzaoudzi, and enjoy the beautiful beaches.

Day 2: Mtsamboro Island

  • Transportation: Book a boat tour from Dzaoudji or Kani-Kéli to Mtsamboro Island.

  • Activities: Snorkeling, diving, sunbathing, and picnics on the island. Don’t forget your underwater camera!

Day 3: Bouéni Lagoon & Chiriqui Islands

  • Transportation: Rent a car or join a tour to visit these attractions.

  • Activities: Visit the Bouéni Lagoon for its rich marine life and beautiful coral formations. Continue to the Chiriqui Islands for more snorkeling and diving opportunities.

Day 4: Kari Mbini Nature Reserve & Dzangadzanga Sanctuary

Day 6: Departure

  • Currency: The official currency is the Comorian franc, but Euros are widely accepted.
  • Language: French is the official language, although Shimaore (a Swahili dialect) and Arabic are also spoken.
  • Health: Yellow fever vaccination is required if you’re coming from a risk area. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended.
