Marrakech 2 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring the Heart of Marrakech
Morning:

Mid-Morning:

Evening:

Day 2: Day Trip to the Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley
Morning:
- Depart early in the morning for a day trip to the Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley. (Ourika Valley)
- Stop at the Berber Museum to learn about the traditional way of life of the Berbers.
- Continue to the Setti Fatma Kasbah, a group of seven beautiful Kasbahs nestled in the valley.
- Enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch at a local restaurant in the Ourika Valley.
Afternoon:
- Return to Marrakech and spend the rest of the afternoon at leisure. You might want to relax by the pool at your accommodation or explore more of the city.
- Have dinner at Le Jardin, a rooftop restaurant offering delicious Moroccan cuisine and a great view of the medina. (Le Jardin)
Things to Know:
- Bargaining is expected in the souks, so don’t be afraid to negotiate prices.
- Dress modestly when visiting mosques and other religious sites. Women should cover their hair and shoulders, and men should wear long trousers.
- Taxis are readily available throughout Marrakech, but it’s also easy to walk between many of the city’s main attractions.
- It can get very hot in Marrakech during the day, so don’t forget your sunscreen!
Tips:
- Bring small Moroccan notes (50 and 100 dirham) for the toilet facilities in the souks.
- Be aware of pickpockets, especially in crowded areas like Jemaa el-Fnaa Square.
- Don’t forget to haggle for a camel ride at Jemaa el-Fnaa if you wish to do so!
