Day 1: Exploring Ljubljana
Morning:

- Visit Ljubljana Castle (Grajska planota 1). You can reach it by funicular railway, or if you’re feeling adventurous, hike up the hill. The castle provides a panoramic view of the city.

- Head back down to explore the Old Town. Stroll along the iconic Ljubljanica River, cross the beautiful Triple Bridge and visit Town Square (Mestni trg) where you’ll find the City Museum of Ljubljana.

Evening:
- For dinner, try traditional Slovenian cuisine at Restavracija JB (Cankarjeva 16).

Day 2: Nature and Art

- Next, head to Metelkova Mesto, a bohemian district known for its alternative culture, art galleries, and live music venues.
Afternoon:
- Take a short trip to Vintgar Gorge (Gornja Vintgar 43, Zgornje Gorje) - a beautiful natural wonder just a 20-minute bus ride away.
- Return to Ljubljana and visit the National Museum of Slovenia (Prešernov trg 10) for a deeper insight into the country’s history.
Evening:
- For your final dinner, enjoy a meal at Restavracija Atelje (Kongresni trg 9), known for its contemporary Slovenian cuisine and elegant atmosphere.

- English is widely spoken, especially among younger people.
- Public transportation in Ljubljana is excellent and affordable. You can use buses and trams with a single ticket covering all journeys for 1 hour.
- Tipping in restaurants is not customary, but rounding up or leaving small change is appreciated.
- The best time to visit is from May to September when the weather is pleasant.
Transportation:
- Ljubljana Bus Station (Avtobusna postaja Ljubljana) connects the city with many destinations across Slovenia and Europe.
- Jože Pučnik Airport (LJU) is located approximately 20 km north of the city center and offers flights to numerous destinations.
- Within the city, buses and trams are the most common forms of transportation. You can also rent bikes or even a boat to explore the city on water!
