Libya 3 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Explore Tripoli

  • Morning: Arrival at Tripoli International Airport. After clearing immigration and customs, grab a taxi to your hotel (recommended: Corinthia Hotel Tripoli).

  • Afternoon: Visit the Red Castle Museum, a historical site dating back to the Roman era, showcasing artifacts from various periods of Libyan history. Nearby, explore the Ottoman Fashion House and the Tripoli Archaeological Museum.

  • Evening: Enjoy a traditional Libyan dinner at one of Tripoli’s top restaurants, such as Al Andalous Restaurant or Al Aseel Restaurant.

Day 2: Leptis Magna and Wadi Lebda

  • Afternoon: Spend the afternoon exploring Leptis Magna’s stunning ruins, including the theater, basilica, and Forum. Have a picnic lunch amidst the ancient ruins.

  • Evening: Head to Wadi Lebda, a picturesque oasis with palm trees and clear waters perfect for swimming. Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Day 3: Ghadames and Benghazi

  • Morning: Depart for Ghadames, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its beautiful adobe architecture. The journey takes about 6 hours by car.

  • Afternoon: Spend the day exploring the old city of Ghadames, including its souks, mosques, and rooftop terraces offering panoramic views. Stay overnight in a traditional guesthouse.

  • Evening: Depart for Benghazi, which takes around 6 hours by car. Overnight stay in Benghazi.
