Lebanon 4-Day Itinerary: Exploring the Pearl of the Middle East
Day 1: Beirut - The Vibrant Capital

Morning: Arrival at Rafic Hariri International Airport. Obtain your visa (most nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival for a fee). Grab a taxi or rent a car to explore the city.
Must-Visit Spots: Martyrs’ Square, National Museum of Beirut, Corniche promenade.
Tips: Lebanese currency is the Lebanese Pound (LBP), and dollars are also widely accepted. The traffic in Beirut can be heavy, so plan your travels accordingly.

Afternoon: Visit the trendy neighborhoods of Gemmayze and Mar Mikhael for lunch and shopping. Don’t miss the famous street art! Must-Visit Spots: Boutique Artisanal Breweries, Tawlet – a traditional Lebanese restaurant.

Evening: Explore the nightlife at one of Beirut’s many bars or clubs in the city center.
Day 2: Baalbek & Anjar - Ancient Wonders

Morning: Drive north to Baalbek (approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes). Visit the stunning Roman ruins, including the Temple of Bacchus. Tips: Wear comfortable shoes for walking and bring water.

Afternoon: Head to Anjar (25 minutes) to explore the Umayyad-period archaeological site.

Evening: Drive back to your accommodation in Beirut.
Day 3: Byblos & Jeita Grotto - History & Nature

Morning: Drive north to Byblos (approximately 45 minutes). Walk through the ancient city, with its Crusader-era Citadel and beautiful coastal views. Must-Visit Spots: St. John’s Church, Crusader City Walls.

Afternoon: Visit Jeita Grotto (30 minutes from Byblos). Explore the stunning limestone caverns, both above ground (the “garden”) and below (the “underground river”). Tips: The lower galleries require a boat ride. Wear appropriate clothing and shoes.

Evening: Drive back to Beirut or choose to spend the night in a nearby coastal town like Jounieh, Sidon, or Tyre.
Day 4: Cedars of God & Qadisha Valley - Nature’s Masterpieces

Morning: Head to the Cedars of God (Kadisha Valley) (approximately 2 hours from Beirut). Walk amidst the ancient cedar trees and visit the Tannourine Grotto. Tips: The weather can be unpredictable, so pack a warm jacket and sturdy shoes.

Afternoon: Explore the Qadisha Valley, one of the world’s most important Christian spiritual sites with numerous monasteries. Don’t miss the Monastery of Qannubin.
