Day 1: Tarawa Atoll
- Morning: Arrival at Bonriki International Airport, Tarawa. Get acquainted with the local culture and lifestyle in this densely populated atoll.
- Afternoon: Visit the National Museum to learn about Kiribati’s history and culture. Don’t miss the Japanese Zero Fighter Plane on display.
- Evening: Stroll along Bikenibeu Avenue, the main street of Tarawa, and enjoy local cuisine at one of the many eateries.
Things to Know:
- Kiribati is spread over 32 atolls and islands, with Tarawa being the administrative capital.
- The official language is Gilbertese (Gilbert Islander), but English is widely spoken.
- The local currency is the Australian Dollar. Credit cards are accepted in some places, but it’s always good to carry cash.
Day 2: North Tarawa
- Morning: Visit Betio War Site, a poignant reminder of World War II’s Battle of Tarawa.
- Afternoon: Explore the Tabonjua Arnold Kaour Field Station, home to many endemic plant and bird species.

Day 4: Abaiang Atoll
- Morning: Travel to Abaiang Atoll by inter-island flight or ferry (depending on availability). Visit the historical ruins of Abemama, an ancient Bikinian village abandoned due to nuclear tests in the Marshall Islands.
- Afternoon: Relax at Anabae Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in Kiribati.

Day 5: Nonouti Island
