Jaipur 7-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & City Palace

  • Arrive at Jaipur International Airport or Railway Station.
  • Check into a heritage hotel like the Rambagh Palace or Samode Haveli for an authentic Rajasthani experience.
  • Visit the City Palace, home to the Maharaja of Jaipur, which houses several museums and galleries. Don’t miss the Chandra Mahal and Mubarak Mahal.
  • Evening: Explore the local markets like Johari Bazaar and Tripolia Bazaar for shopping and try some street food.

Day 2: Amer Fort & Hawa Mahal

  • Morning visit to Amer Fort, a magnificent hilltop fortress with beautiful views of the city. Take an elephant ride up the hill (optional).
  • Afternoon: Explore Hawa Mahal, also known as the Palace of Winds, famous for its unique architecture and intricate latticework.
  • Visit Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and an astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh II.

Day 3: Albert Hall Museum & Nahargarh Fort

  • Spend the day at two of Jaipur’s most iconic historical sites - Albert Hall Museum, showcasing Rajasthani art and artifacts, and Nahargarh Fort, offering panoramic views of the city.
  • Evening: Visit Jal Mahal, a beautiful palace located in the middle of Man Sagar Lake. It’s best viewed from Nahargarh Fort.

Day 4: Jaipur - Abhaneri - Jaipur

  • Day trip to Abhaneri, home to the famous Baoris (stepwells) and Chand Baori, one of the deepest and largest stepwells in India.
  • On your return, stop by Fateh Sagar Lake for a serene evening.

Day 5: Elephant Village & Chokhi Dhani

  • Spend the day at Elephant Village, where you can interact with these majestic creatures and learn about their care and conservation.
  • Evening: Visit Chokhi Dhani, a traditional Rajasthani village resort, for cultural performances, folk dances, shopping, and delicious local cuisine.

Day 6: Jaipur - Ranthambore

  • Early morning drive to Ranthambore National Park for a jungle safari. Spot wildlife including tigers, leopards, and various bird species.
  • Return to Jaipur in the evening.

Day 7: Departure

  • Last-minute shopping or sightseeing, depending on your flight schedule.
  • Depart from Jaipur International Airport or Railway Station.
