Day 1: Exploring Jakarta
- Activities: Visit the National Monument (Monas), explore the bustling streets of Chinatown, and enjoy the vibrant art scene at Taman Ismail Marzuki. Don’t miss the famous Batik textiles at Pasar Baru!
- Things to Know: Jakarta can be quite hectic. Traffic can be heavy, so allow extra time for travel between places. Be aware of petty crime in crowded areas and always keep your belongings secure.
- Transportation: Taxis are widely available. Grab (Indonesian version of Uber) is also popular and convenient. TransJakarta buses are a cost-effective option for exploring the city.
- Visa Requirements: For most countries, a 30-day visa on arrival is available. However, check the latest requirements as they may vary based on your nationality.
Day 2: Thousand Islands (Kepulauan Seribu)
- Activities: Spend the day island-hopping, swimming, snorkeling, and sunbathing. Some popular islands include Pulau Macan, Pulau Tidung, and Pulau Bidadari.
