Day 1: Exploring Hiroshima’s Past and Peace

- July 6th is Peace Memorial Day, when the city commemorates the atomic bombing. Many events take place on this day.
- Japanese people are very polite and respectful. Always bow when entering a shop or restaurant.
- Tipping is not customary in Japan. If you feel inclined to leave a tip, it will likely be refused.
