Haiti 2 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Exploring Port-au-Prince
Morning:

- Visit the National Palace, the official residence of the President of Haiti. Despite being damaged by the 2010 earthquake, it still offers an insight into Haiti’s history and politics.
- Explore the Musee du Pantheon National Haïtien which houses artifacts from Haiti’s past including the flag that was used during the Haitian Revolution.
Afternoon:
- Take a trip to the Citadelle Laferrière, one of the largest fortresses in the Americas, located in the town of Milot near Cap-Haïtien. This UNESCO World Heritage Site offers breathtaking views and is a testament to Haiti’s rich history.
- Visit Ruines de Milot nearby, the remains of a palace built by King Henry Christophe.
Evening:
- Return to Port-au-Prince and enjoy a meal at “Kafé Kreyol”, a popular restaurant with a rooftop terrace overlooking the city.
- Experience Haiti’s vibrant nightlife at a local bar or club in the Petionville area such as “Le Klay”.
Day 2: Discovering Cap-Haïtien and Jacmel

- Travel to Cap-Haïtine, Haiti’s second largest city, known for its beautiful beaches, colonial architecture, and vibrant culture. Visit the Sans-Souci Palace, another UNESCO World Heritage Site and the former residence of King Henri Christophe.

Afternoon:
- Head to the nearby Label Beach for some relaxation and swimming. The crystal clear waters make it a perfect spot to unwind.
- Visit the Maison Natale de Dessalines, the birthplace of Jean-Jacques Dessalines, the first ruler of independent Haiti.
