5-Day Travel Itinerary for Georgia
Day 1: Tbilisi

Arrival at Tbilisi International Airport. Visa Requirements: Citizens from many countries can enter Georgia visa-free for a stay up to one year.

Check-in at your hotel and freshen up.

Visit Old Tbilisi: Explore the historical district, visit the Narikala Fortress, the Sulphur Baths, and the charming streets of Maidanitela and Abanotubani.

Evening: Stroll along Rike Park and enjoy a dinner at one of the local restaurants in the city center, offering Georgian cuisine.
Day 2: Tbilisi - Mtskheta - Ananuri - Kazbegi
- Morning: Depart for Mtskheta (UNESCO World Heritage Site), Georgia’s ancient capital and visit the Jvari Church and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral.
- Continue to Ananuri, a fortress complex on the shores of the scenic Zhinvali Reservoir.
- Afternoon: Head towards Kazbegi (Stepantsminda), with beautiful views of Mount Kazbegi. Overnight stay in Kazbegi.
Day 3: Kazbegi - Gergeti Trinity Church - Kutaisi
- Morning: Visit the Gergeti Trinity Church, located at an altitude of approximately 2,170 meters (7,120 feet) above sea level and offering stunning views of Mount Kazbegi.
- Afternoon: Depart for Kutaisi (approximately a 4-hour drive). En route, stop at the Gori Cave Town and Stalin Museum.
- Evening: Explore Kutaisi, including the Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery, both UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Overnight stay in Kutaisi.
Day 4: Kutaisi - Batumi
- Morning: Depart for Batumi (approximately a 3-hour drive). On the way, visit the Prometheus Cave and Martvili Canyon.
- Afternoon: Arrive in Batumi and spend some time at the Batumi Botanical Garden and the famous Boulevard with its Alphabet Tower. Overnight stay in Batumi.
Day 5: Batumi - Gonio Fortress - Tbilisi
- Morning: Visit the Gonio Fortress, an ancient Roman fort overlooking the Black Sea.
- Afternoon: Depart for Tbilisi (approximately a 5-hour drive). If time permits, make a short stop at David Gareja Monastery en route.
- Evening: Depart from Tbilisi International Airport for your homeward journey.
