Day 1: Arrival & Cayenne City Exploration

  • Arrive at Rochambeau Airport (CAY). Visitors from the Schengen Area, EU, and some other countries can enter without a visa. Others may require a visa in advance. Check the official website for updated information.
  • Check into your accommodation in Cayenne.
  • Visit the Museum of French Guiana to understand the history and culture of the region.
  • Stroll around Fort Cépérou, a historic fortress with panoramic views of the city.
  • Enjoy Creole cuisine at one of the local restaurants for dinner.

Day 2: Space Center & Aventure Amazonienne

  • Visit CSG/GUYANE SPYCE Vega Launch Site. Book a guided tour to witness the space activities.
  • Head to Aventure Amazonienne, an ecotourism center offering boat trips and visits to indigenous villages.
  • Explore the Salamandre River by canoe, keeping your eyes open for wildlife like pink river dolphins and monkeys.

Day 3: Kourou & Sinnamary

  • Travel to Kourou, home to the Guyana Space Center. Take a tour of Europe’s spaceport and learn about the Ariane rockets.
  • Head to Sinnamary Beach in the afternoon. Relax on the beach or enjoy water sports like kitesurfing or paddleboarding.

Day 4: Saint-Laurent-du-Maroni & Suriname Border
