Day 1 - Arrival & San Salvador City Exploration
- Arrive at Comalapa International Airport (SAL) in San Salvador. Visa requirements depend on your nationality, but many countries do not need a visa for tourism stays under 90 days.
- Check-in at your hotel and freshen up. Recommended hotels: Finca San Rafael Hotel & Museum or Hotel El Jardin.
- Visit the National Palace, the Metropolitan Cathedral and stroll around Parque Centroamericano.
- Have dinner at a local restaurant, try popular dishes like Pupusas, Tamales, or Ceviche.
Day 2 - San Salvador to Suchitoto
- Rent a car (or use El Salvador Shuttle) and head to the beautiful colonial town of Suchitoto.
- Visit the Museum of Revolution and the Casa de la Santísima Trinidad, both offering insights into El Salvador’s history.
- Explore the charming streets, local art galleries, and the breathtaking Lake Suchitlán.
- Enjoy a traditional meal at one of the many restaurants in town.
Day 3 - Suchitoto to Ataco & Juayúa
- Drive towards the Amboqueque Canyon, stop by for stunning views and photos.
- Continue to Ataco. Known as the “Town of Colors”, explore its vibrant art galleries, markets, and local coffee farms.
- Head to Juayúa (approximately 30 minutes away) for a unique experience at the Night Market. Sample local food like Café El Injerto, known for its exceptional coffee.
Day 4 - Juayúa to Santa Ana & El Boquerón National Park
- Drive towards Santa Ana. Visit the Church of Santa Ana, one of the most impressive colonial churches in the country.
- Head to El Boquerón National Park and explore the natural beauty of its waterfalls, hot springs, and hiking trails.
- Return to Santa Ana for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 - Santa Ana to San Miguel & Ruta de Las Flores
- Drive along the scenic Ruta de las Flores (Flower Route) towards San Miguel.
- Visit the small towns along the way, such as Apaneca, Jualaque, and Nahuizaloco. Each offers unique artisan markets, coffee plantations, and scenic views.
- Arrive in San Miguel and explore its charming streets, local restaurants, and beautiful architecture.
Day 6 - San Miguel to Beaches & Departure
- Head to the Pacific Coast beaches. Recommended destinations are La Libertad, known for surfing, or Sunzal, popular among both surfers and tourists.
- Spend the day relaxing on the beach, enjoying local cuisine, and soaking up the sun.
- Return to San Salvador for your departure from Comalapa International Airport.
