Dominican Republic 4 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Santo Domingo
- Morning: Arrive at Las Américas International Airport (SDQ). Obtain a Tourist Card ($10 USD) upon arrival if you don’t have an electronic one.
- Afternoon: Visit the Zona Colonial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with beautiful colonial architecture and historical landmarks like Alcázar de Colón, Santo Domingo Cathedral, and Plaza España.
- Evening: Explore the modern Bella Vista neighborhood for shopping and dining. Try local dishes like sancocho, mofongo, and fried fish.
- Things to know: Dominican Republic uses the Dominican Peso (DOP), but U.S. dollars are widely accepted. Spanish is the official language, although English is spoken in tourist areas.
Day 2: Santo Domingo & Punta Cana
- Morning: Check out of your hotel and travel to Las Américas International Airport for your flight to Punta Cana (PUJ).
