Colombia 6-Day Travel Itinerary (Markdown Format)
Day 1: Bogotá - Explore the Capital City
- Arrival at El Dorado International Airport (BOG)
- Check-in at your hotel in La Candelaria, Bogotá’s historic district
- Visit the Gold Museum (Museo del Oro) to learn about Colombia’s pre-Columbian gold work
- Explore Monserrate, a mountain with a church on top offering panoramic views of Bogotá
- Try traditional Colombian cuisine for dinner at Andres DC or El Corral
- Note: Bogotá is located at 2600 meters above sea level. It can get cold, so pack layers!
Day 2: Bogotá - Salt Cathedral & Graffiti Tour
- Visit the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá, a remarkable religious site carved into a salt mine
- Head back to Bogotá and take a graffiti tour in the Taganga neighborhood to learn about street art in Colombia
- Dinner at Alquimia Restaurant, known for its fusion cuisine
Day 3: Medellín - City of Eternal Spring
- Take an early flight to José María Córdova International Airport (MDE), Medellín
- Check-in at your hotel in the Laureles or El Poblado districts
- Visit Parque Arví, a nature reserve with hiking trails and zip lines
