Chile 5 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Santiago
- Arrival at Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport (SCL)
- Check-in at a hotel in the city center (Recommended: W Santiago or Hotel Plaza El Bosque)
- Visit the historic neighborhood of Barrio Bellavista, explore the street art and have lunch at one of its many restaurants.
- In the afternoon, head to Cerro San Cristobal for panoramic views of Santiago.
- Dinner in the bohemian Bellavista district.
- Things to know: Chilean peso is the official currency; Spanish is the primary language but English is widely spoken in major cities.
Day 2: Valparaíso & Viña del Mar
- Morning train ride from Santiago to Valparaíso (Approx. 1.5 hours)
- Explore the colorful hillside neighborhoods of Valparaíso, known for its steep funiculars and vibrant street art.
- Lunch in Valparaíso’s port area
- In the afternoon, visit Viña del Mar, Chile’s premier seaside resort city, famous for its gardens, beaches, and casinos.
- Return to Santiago by train in the evening.
- Visa Requirements: Citizens of most countries do not require a visa to enter Chile for tourism purposes. However, it’s always best to check the current regulations before traveling.
Day 3: Wine Tasting in the Central Valley
- Day trip to the Casablanca or Maipo wine valleys (Approx. 1 hour from Santiago)
- Visit vineyards and wineries for wine tasting and cellar tours.
- Lunch at a traditional Chilean restaurant with a focus on local cuisine.
- Optional: Hot air balloon ride over the vineyards for a unique perspective.
Day 4: Torres del Paine National Park
- Flight from Santiago to Punta Arenas (Approx. 3 hours)
- Transfer by bus to Torres del Paine National Park (Approx. 4 hours)

- Spend the afternoon exploring the scenic beauty of the park, such as Salto Grande waterfall and Lago Grey.

Day 5: Torres del Paine & Return to Santiago
- Early morning hike to see the iconic Towers of Paine (Torres)
- Afternoon return to Punta Arenas, flight back to Santiago
