Chad 3 Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in N’Djamena (Capital City)

  • Morning: Arrive at N’Djamena International Airport. Complete customs and immigration formalities. Exchange currency at a local bureau de change as major credit cards are not widely accepted.
  • Afternoon: Visit the Palais de la Renaissance, a symbol of Chadian independence, which houses the presidential palace. Next, explore the National Museum (Musée National) to gain insights into the country’s rich history and culture.
  • Evening: Enjoy local cuisine at Le Café du Sud or Chez Mamane, both popular restaurants in N’Djamena.

Day 3: Zakouma National Park

  • Morning: Depart early for Zakouma National Park (approx. 12 hours by road or 1 hour by flight).
  • Afternoon: Arrive at the park and embark on a guided safari to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and various bird species.
  • Evening: Spend the night at one of the lodges within the park, enjoying the sounds of the African wilderness.

Things to Know about Zakouma National Park:

  1. The best time to visit is during the dry season (November to March) when animals are easier to spot.
  2. Book your safari in advance as accommodation can be limited.
