Day 1 - Arrival & Settling In

Arrive at Simón Bolívar International Airport (AIQ)
Check-In at Hotel Urban (4-star hotel in the financial district with easy access to public transportation) or Hotel Tamanaco (5-star hotel located within the Avila Mountain range, offers stunning views of Caracas)

Things to Know:

Venezuelan currency is Bolívar Soberano (VEF), but for international tourists, US Dollars are widely accepted.
Spanish is the official language; some locals may speak English in tourist areas.
Caracas is situated at a high altitude, so you might feel the effects of altitude sickness if you’re not accustomed to it. Drink plenty of water and rest upon arrival.
