Cameroon 5-Day Travel Itinerary (Markdown Format)
Day 1: Yaoundé
- Arrival at Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport.
 - Visit the Messa Quarter for its vibrant atmosphere, local markets, and delicious street food.
 - Explore the Mokolo District, home to the National Museum of Cameroon showcasing artifacts from various ethnic groups.
 - Evening visit to the Monument of the Unification of Souvenir, symbolizing Cameroon’s unification in 1961.
 - Overnight stay at a hotel in Yaoundé.
 
Day 2: Douala
- Morning transfer to Douala by air or road.
 - Visit Douala Sea Port, one of the busiest in Africa.
 - Explore the Lobe Market, the largest traditional market in Central Africa.
 - Afternoon visit to Djoemessi Beach for relaxation and local seafood lunch.
 - Overnight stay at a hotel in Douala.
 
Day 3: Limbe (Kumba) & Mt. Cameroon National Park
- Morning transfer to Limbe, also known as Kumba.
 - Visit the Limbe Botanical Gardens and the Bumble Bee Beach.
 - Afternoon hike at Mt. Cameroon National Park. (Note: Permits are required for hiking.)
 - Overnight stay at a hotel in Limbe.
 
Day 4: Dschang & Baham Cultural Village
- Morning transfer to Dschang.
 - Visit the University of Dschang Campus and the Djimunu Mbonge Forest Reserve.
 - Afternoon visit to the Baham Cultural Village to learn about the Bantu cultures and traditions.
 - Overnight stay at a hotel in Dschang.
 
Day 5: Bandjoun & Foumban
- Morning transfer to Bandjoun.
 - Visit the Fon’s Palace, a traditional royal palace of the Bangwa people.
 - Afternoon drive to Foumban to explore the Sultan’s Palace and the Royal Museum of Foumban showcasing Grassfields artifacts.
 - Transfer back to Yaoundé for your departure.
 
Things to Note:
- Visa: Most nationalities require a visa to enter Cameroon. Check the Cameroonian Embassy in your country for more details.
 - Currency: The official currency is the Central African CFA Franc (XAF). Credit cards are not widely accepted, so carry cash.
 - Safety: Be aware of your surroundings, especially in crowded areas and at night.
 - Health: Yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for all travelers over 1 year old. Malaria prophylaxis is recommended.
 - Transportation: Taxis and shared taxis (bush taxis) are common modes of transportation within cities and between towns. Car rental is also an option.
