Brazil 7-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Rio de Janeiro - Arrival & Iconic Landmarks
- Arrive at Rio de Janeiro’s international airport (Galeão – GIG) and transfer to your hotel.
- Visit the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, enjoy a Caipirinha at beachfront bars.
- Head to Corcovado Mountain to see the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue. (You can take a train or hike)
- In the evening, explore Lapa neighborhood known for its street art and vibrant nightlife.
- Tips: Learn basic Portuguese phrases, wear comfortable shoes, be mindful of your belongings in crowded places.
Day 2: Rio de Janeiro - Sugarloaf Mountain & Sambadrome
- Morning visit to Sugarloaf Mountain for panoramic views of the city and Guanabara Bay.
- Explore historic Santa Teresa neighborhood by tram or jeep tour.
- In the evening, visit the Sambadrome, home of Rio’s world-famous Carnival. (Guided tours available)
- Transport: Use taxis, Uber, or public buses (Bondinho). Buy a Rio Card for unlimited travel.
Day 3: Iguaçu Falls - Fly to Foz do Iguaçu
- Flight from Rio de Janeiro to Foz do Iguaçu (IGU airport) in the morning.
- Visit the Brazilian side of Iguaçu Falls, take the Macuco Trail to the base of the falls by jeep and boat.
- Cross the border to Argentina for a different view of the falls from the Devil’s Throat.
- Things to Know: Bring a change of clothes as you will get wet at the falls. Wear waterproof shoes.
Day 4: Iguaçu Falls & Itaipú Dam - Fly back to Rio
- Visit the Bird Park and the Itaipu Hydroelectric Power Plant (optional).
- Flight back to Rio de Janeiro in the afternoon.
- Rest and prepare for the next day’s adventure.
Day 5: Salvador - Afro-Brazilian Culture & Pelourinho
- Morning flight to Salvador (Deputado Luís Eduardo Magalhães – SSA airport).
- Visit the historic center of Pelourinho, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Experience Candomblé at the Terreiro de Jesus or other temples.
- Tips: Try traditional Bahian cuisine like Moqueca and Acarajé.
Day 6: Salvador - Bonfim Church & Praia do Porto da Barra
- Visit the Bonfim Church, touch the iron cross for good luck.
- Relax at Praia do Porto da Barra, one of the city’s most beautiful beaches.
- In the evening, enjoy Capoeira performances in Pelourinho or other cultural events.
Day 7: Departure
- Transfer to Salvador airport for your departure flight.
- Visa: Most countries require a tourist visa to enter Brazil. Check the requirements for your passport and apply accordingly.
- Transport: Taxis, Uber, or public buses can be used in Salvador. Renting a car may also be an option.
