Botswana 4 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & Exploring Gaborone
- Arrival at Sir Seretse Khama International Airport (GSG), Gaborone Visa Requirements: Most nationalities require a visa to enter Botswana. Check your eligibility before travel.
- Transfer to Hotel: After customs, arrange for a pre-booked taxi or shuttle service to your hotel in Gaborone.
- City Tour: Visit the Botswana Craft Centre & Museum, Three Dikes, and Mokolodi Wildlife Reserve (if time allows).
- Evening: Enjoy local cuisine at a restaurant like Bistrot Basilico or Maitisong Cultural Centre for dinner and traditional performances.
Day 2: Okavango Delta Safari
- Transfer to Maun (approximately 3 hours from Gaborone): Fly or drive to Maun, the gateway to the Okavango Delta. Pre-book a charter flight to your Delta camp for an unforgettable experience.
- Okavango Delta Activities: Explore the Delta with guided game drives, mokoro (traditional canoe) excursions, and walking safaris. Spot wildlife like lions, hippos, elephants, and various bird species.
- Overnight: Stay at a luxury tented camp within the Okavango Delta.
Day 3: Chobe National Park
- Transfer to Kasane (approximately 2 hours from Maun): Travel by road or charter flight to Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park.
- Chobe National Park Activities: Take a game drive in the morning and afternoon, with opportunities to see large herds of elephants and Cape buffalo, lions, and hippos. Don’t forget the sunset river cruise on the Chobe River, where you can observe hundreds of elephants coming down to drink.
- Overnight: Stay at a hotel in Kasane or nearby.
Day 4: Victoria Falls & Departure
- Morning: Visit Victoria Falls from the Zambian side (approximately 1 hour drive from Kasane). Marvel at this stunning natural wonder, and take advantage of optional activities like helicopter rides, bungee jumping, or river safaris.
- Afternoon/Evening: Transfer back to Maun for your connecting flight home. Alternatively, extend your stay in Botswana with more exploration or a beach holiday at Makgadikgadi Pans or the coastal town of Francistown.
