Bosnia and Herzegovina 7-Day Travel Itinerary (Markdown format)

Day 1: Sarajevo

  • Arrival at Sarajevo International Airport
  • Visit the Olješa Square, the historic heart of Sarajevo where you can see the City Hall and the Latin Bridge.
  • Explore the Baščaršija Bazaar, a traditional market with a rich history.
  • Visit the Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque and the nearby Sarajevo Cathedral.
  • In the evening, walk around the lively Ferhadija Street and enjoy local Bosnian cuisine.

Day 2: Sarajevo Sightseeing

  • Visit the War Tunnel Museum, a reminder of the 1990s war.
  • Explore Tunnel of Hope, an underground tunnel used during the siege of Sarajevo.
  • Spend the afternoon at Mount Trebević, offering stunning views over the city and a chance to explore abandoned Olympic facilities.

Day 3: Mostar

  • Travel to Mostar (approximately 2 hours by bus)
  • Visit the famous Stari Most (Old Bridge) and cross it if open.
  • Explore the Bazaar, a vibrant market with traditional crafts and souvenirs.
  • Visit the Krška Kuća museum to learn about the local culture.
  • In the evening, enjoy a sunset view over the Neretva River.

Day 4: Blagaj & Počitelj

  • Travel to Blagaj (approximately 30 minutes by car) and visit the Blagaj Tekija, an active Dervish monastery near a beautiful spring.
  • Head to Počitelj (15 minutes away), a medieval town perched on a hill with stunning views over the Neretva River.
  • Return to Mostar for the night.

Day 5: Jablanica & Travnik

  • Travel to Jablanica (approximately 1 hour by car) and visit the War Memorial of Jablanica.
  • Continue to Travnik (30 minutes away), a picturesque town with an Ottoman-style fortress.
  • Return to Mostar for the night.

Day 6: Konjic & Konjićko Polje

  • Travel to Konjic (approximately 1 hour by car) and visit the Bosnia’s Energy Museum, which houses a replica of the Hydropower Plant “Konjic”.
  • Explore the Medieval Bridge in Vrelo Bune, a unique natural phenomenon.
  • Visit the nearby Konjićko Polje, a scenic valley with traditional villages and stunning mountain views.
  • Return to Mostar for the night.

Day 7: Departure

  • Departure from Mostar International Airport or continue your journey to another destination.
