Bosnia and Herzegovina 6-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Sarajevo (Arrival & Exploration)
- Arrival at the international airport in Sarajevo. Check into your hotel and freshen up.
- Visit Baščaršija, the old town area with traditional architecture, souvenir shops, and local cuisine.
- Explore Latin Bridge, where Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, triggering World War I.
- Visit Gazi Husrev-beg Mosque, one of the most important historical mosques in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
- Dinner at a local restaurant, try traditional dishes like ćevapčići or burek.
Day 2: Sarajevo - History & Culture
- Morning visit to Tunnel of Hope, a historical site significant during the Siege of Sarajevo (1992–1996).
- Drive to Srebrenica, a town famous for the Srebrenica massacre. Visit the Srebrenica-Potocari Memorial and Cemetery.
- Return to Sarajevo and visit the War Tunnel Museum for more insight into the recent history of Bosnia.
- In the evening, unwind at one of Sarajevo’s vibrant bars or cafes.
Day 3: Mostar & Blagaj (Day trip)
- Head to Mostar, a picturesque town known for its Old Bridge (Stari Most).
- Cross the iconic Stari Most and explore the old bazaar area.
- Visit the Blagaj Tekija, a Sufi monastery located by the source of the Buna River.
- Stop by the Kravice Waterfalls on your way back to Sarajevo for some scenic views and refreshments.
Day 4: Jajce & Banja Luka (Day trip)
- Drive to Jajce, a town known for its Pliva Lakes and the Ottoman-era fortress.
- Visit Osmi Most (Eighth Bridge), one of the most photographed locations in Bosnia.
- Proceed to Banja Luka, the second-largest city in the country.
- Explore the Kastel Fortress and Cathedral of Saint Mary.
Day 5: Eastern Bosnia & Zenica (Day trip)
- Drive to Visoko to visit the “Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun” and the Museum of Ancient Egyptian Civilization.
- Head to Zenica and explore the Kravarice Waterfall.
- Visit the Vrelo Bosne, a park with a natural spring, surrounded by beautiful forest.
Day 6: Departure from Sarajevo
- Spend your last hours shopping for souvenirs or relaxing in a local café before heading to the airport.

- Bosnia and Herzegovina is part of the Schengen area, so if you have a valid Schengen visa, you don’t need a separate visa for Bosnia. However, check with your local embassy for updates.
