Bhutan 3 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Paro - Thimphu

Transport: Upon arrival at Paro International Airport (by air or road), a local guide will assist you.

Activities:
- Visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan showcasing rich cultural and natural history exhibits.
- Walk down to Rimpung Dzong, one of the largest dzongs in Bhutan. It serves as the administrative seat for the district of Paro.
- Drive to Thimphu (capital city), en route visit the 7th-century Kyichu Lhakhang, an important Himalayan Buddhist temple.

Things to Know: Bhutan is famous for its architecture, festivals, monasteries, and vibrant culture. The national language is Dzongkha but English is widely spoken in the cities.

Visa Requirements: All foreign tourists need a visa to enter Bhutan. However, Bhutanese travel agencies organize your visa clearance before you arrive, so there’s no need for you to get it yourself.

Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing - Punakha

- Visit the Memorial Chorten, built in honor of Bhutan’s third King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
- Explore the Institute for Zorig Chusum (Traditional Arts and Crafts School).
- Drive to Dochula Pass (3,088m), offering panoramic mountain views on a clear day. Visit the 108 Druk Wangyal Khangzang Chortens.
- Continue to Punakha, former capital of Bhutan. Visit Chimi Lhakhang, a temple dedicated to the Divine Madman.

Day 3: Punakha - Paro Sightseeing - Departure

- Hike to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, a stunning stupa overlooking the Mo Chhu River.
- Visit Punakha Dzong (Pungtang Dechen Phodrang Dzong), the winter residence of the central monk body and the government administration offices.
- Drive back to Paro. En route, stop at a local farmhouse to experience traditional Bhutanese lifestyle.
- Visit the picturesque Tamchog Lhakhang Monastery built by Thangtong Gyalpo, the iron bridge builder.
- If time allows, explore the bustling market of Paro town.
