Belgrade, Serbia 5 Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival & City Center Exploration

Morning: Arrive at Nikola Tesla Airport (AIRP). Transfer to your accommodation in the city center. Recommended hotels: Hotel Moskva, Hotel Prag, or Airbnb for local experiences.

Afternoon: Visit Knez Mihailova Street, a pedestrian zone filled with shops, cafes, and historic buildings. Continue to St. Sava Temple, one of the world’s largest Orthodox churches.

Evening: Dine at Skadarlija, Bohemian quarter known for its traditional Serbian restaurants called “kafanas”. Try some Ćevapi, Pljeskavica or Ajvar.

Day 2: Museums & Kalemegdan Fortress

Morning: Visit the National Museum to learn about Serbian history and culture. Then head to Museum of Aviation if you’re interested in aircraft.

Afternoon: Spend your afternoon at Kalemegdan Fortress. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city, explore towers, parks, and the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers.

Evening: Have dinner at Beton Hala (Concrete Hall) or Zeleni venac Market, offering a variety of local and international cuisines.
Day 3: Ada Ciganlija & Zemun

Day 4: New Belgrade & Nikola Tesla Museum

Afternoon: Explore the Nikola Tesla Museum. Learn about the life and work of this great inventor, who was born in Serbia.

Day 5: Departure Preparation

Morning: Spend your last hours in Belgrade shopping for souvenirs, visiting any remaining sights or enjoying a relaxing coffee at one of the city’s many charming cafes.

Afternoon/Evening: Transfer to Nikola Tesla Airport for your departure. If time allows, you can also visit the Church of Saint Mark or the Belgrade Zoo.
Transportation: Taxis are widely available, or you can use public transport (buses, trams) with a pre-paid card. The city is also quite walkable, and bike rentals are popular.
Things to Know: Serbian currency is the Serbian dinar (RSD). English is spoken in most tourist areas, but learning some basic Serbian phrases can be helpful. Always negotiate taxi fares before getting into the vehicle.
Tips: Try local rakija or brandy, visit a spa (hamam) for a traditional Turkish bath experience, and don’t miss the street art around Knez Mihailova Street.
