Bangkok 4-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Explore the Historic Side
Morning:
- Start your day at The Grand Palace & Wat Phra Kaew (open daily from 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, last entry at 3:00 PM). Dress appropriately (long pants and covered shoulders) to enter the temples.
- Next, visit Wat Pho, home to the Reclining Buddha (4:00 AM - 9:00 PM). It’s just a short walk from The Grand Palace.
Lunch:
- Head to Ratchawat Market for a variety of local Thai dishes. Try Khao Man Gai (Chicken Rice) and Som Tum (Spicy Green Papaya Salad).
Afternoon:
- Visit the National Museum (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, closed on Tuesday and holidays). It offers insights into Thai history and culture.
Evening:
- Explore Chinatown. Try some street food at Yaowarat Road, and visit the Bangkok Flower Market (open 24 hours) if you’re there early in the evening.

- Visit the Art Museum Siam or the Museum of Contemporary Art and Poetry.
- If you’re interested, take a short trip to Dusit Zoo (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM).
Evening:
- Go to Asok and enjoy the night view from the Skytrain or visit the famous Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) for events.
Dinner & Nightlife:
- Try Bo.lan in the Sathorn area for upscale Thai cuisine. After dinner, head to Rooftop Bar at Lebua State Tower for a stunning city view.
Day 3: Temples and Floating Markets
Morning:
- Take a day trip to Damnoen Saduak Floating Market (5:00 AM - 6:00 PM). Book a tour or take public transportation to get there.
Lunch:
- Enjoy lunch at the floating market itself, with traditional Thai dishes served in boats.
Afternoon:
- Visit Wat Bangkachao (9:00 AM - 4:00 PM) on a small island between Mae Klong and Damnoen Saduak rivers. It’s less crowded and offers beautiful scenery.

Lunch:
- Eat at one of the many food stalls in Chatuchak Market.
Afternoon:
- Visit the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (open daily from 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM) or explore more shops around Chatuchak.
Evening:
- Have a farewell dinner at Blue Elephant, known for its royal Thai cuisine. After that, you might want to visit the famous Calypso Cabaret Show.
Accommodation: Depending on your budget, consider staying at Lebua at State Tower for luxury, Siam@Siam Design Hotel Bangkok for mid-range, or Baan Bkk Hostel for budget options.
Transportation: The best way to get around is the BTS Skytrain and MRT Subway. Taxis are also widely available, but be sure to use a meter or agree on a price beforehand to avoid overcharging.
